Start with the anchor
Before painting, identify what should not move. Feet, a plate, a face, or the base of a product gives the eye a stable reference. A wobble looks soft only when something nearby feels firm.
Use a larger brush for the flexible center and avoid the anchor. If the whole frame moves together, the result reads as camera shake rather than material motion.
Build a soft boundary
Paint the center at full or medium strength, then lower strength around the edge. The gradual mask lets the moving layer blend into the still image instead of creating a hard cut.
A little overspill is fine. If an edge doubles, first reduce amplitude or increase damping. Repaint only when the selected shape itself is wrong.
Match the subject
Hair usually needs Sway with a narrow mask at the tips. Pudding prefers Jelly with a wide soft mask. Ears and tails like Bounce, while stickers can tolerate a stronger Quake.
Preview two full cycles before exporting. Small changes often look more polished than maximum movement.
